The
Danish squad will friday head for the Capital of Denmark, Copenhagen.
They will for the first time since SHG, 2006 play a big international
tournament with topteams of the World. zonic has decided to write a blog
about the teams expectations and goals for the event.
Hey all!
Instead of Gaming Advanced, I have chosen to make a little blog for the upcoming event on Danish soil later this week!
Right
now I'm sitting in Roskilde (30km from the Xperia event) preparing for
the biggest event in Denmark since SHG back in 2006 where Made In Brazil
won against Pentagram. We have decided to make an online bootcamp which
means we basically play CS from 4pm to 12pm. And as you guys know the
weather has been awesome lately, so it is with mixed emotions to sit
here in front of the screen and play while the weather is as it is
outside. However I can't wait for the event on friday, and I hope it
will be a succes, not just for us but for danish esport in general.
We
have prepared extremely well since we made a schedule on which maps,
what kind of tactics, how we want to play and against who over the past 3
weeks. We have decided to focus more on our own gameplan this time,
rather than our opponents. At Intel Extreme Masters Global Finals last
month against NaVi we felt we knew how they played, and that we had good
control over it. Our own game on the other hand was failing a bit, and
sometimes it's just good to make your own tactics right than try to
counter attack your opponents moves.
As many of you know NaVi
won't attend Xperia Play, so I am obviously happy that they are out of
the way, but I can't help feel a bit dissapointed not meeting them in a
Semi or Grand-Final. I heard that Zeus is becoming a father, and we in
mTw wish him the best of luck with that. Without NaVi we must admit that
it is absolutely the top who is attending. Mousesports who wasn't at
Global Finals are coming, and I have a feeling that they will surprise
people. We have practiced against them, and they look to be doing quite
alright at the moment. Regarding our fellowfriends from TCM-Gaming I
can't say much since they have somehow chosen to boycot practice against
us. I don't really understand it, because then they should boycot all
the teams attending then? It's not even sure they will run into us.
SK-gaming,
fnatic, Frag-Executors are all contenders and doesn't need extra
explanations. I think SK-gaming has had enough time to prepare
themselves for this event, and if they doesn't shine I think they are
having problems to be honest. I was interviewed back in Kiev, and I was
defending them for not qualifying for the Playoffs, but now they have
had four months to get everything straight, and now it's the time. We
expect to finish top three as always, but personally I want a final, and
a win in that final. We always finish 2nd and 3rd because of NaVi and
there are absolutely no excuses for not winning this time.
I
also hope that the Danish audience will help us reaching our goals,
since their backup and cheering would mean the World to us!
I
want to thank all our sponsors for making everything in 2011 look
brilliant! - Vote for us at eStars Seoul when that vote is official! -
And thanks to Roskilde eSport for once again letting me sit at their
club preparing for CPH Games! :)
